Modelled using Alias Maya.

Mosquito is built using Polygon Modelling, 10,000 Poly Approx. Scene built using Maya Fluids, Ocean and Cloud Effects. Flack was produced using Fluids as well! Wing trails and Smoke plume was created using Maya's particle system. The whole scene is fully animated. Took approximately 5 Days to produce. Texture map on the Mosquito was produce in Photoshop CS2, 2048x2048. Rendered using Maya Raytracing.

I was trying to produce an illustration similar to that depicting a Classic War Scene produced by Traditional Artists.

First post was more of 'WIP' and a pre-visual. I have added some more details and have rendered a full 10 sec sequence. Just did a little post production work in Photoshop CS2.

Hope you like it.

I was just messing around in Alias Maya 2008, with the Fluid Effects. I managed to create an interesting Nebular Cloud. So I decided to try and make a composition using it.

I began with a very basic image and added the Sun's that I made using Maya to create a composition that I was happy with.

I then brought the image into Photoshop CS2 along with the seperate elements. I composited some images that I have generated using Apophysis 2. I created in Photoshop the distant stars and asteroids.

It all came together very quickly, and took approx 6hrs.

Created using Maya, Photoshop CS2, Apophysis 2 and Intuos 3 Wacom Pad!

Hope you like the image.
